Certiicate III in Disability Work (CHC30302)



Working with people with disabilities can be a very rewarding career and Certiicate III in Disability Work is a great start for those wishing to gain entry into the industry. With recent changes in legislation, the disability work industry is seeking more trained and skilled workers to fill their current vacancies.

As part of this course students will learn about making a difference in someone else’s life. Their study will be a combination of Aged Care, Youth Work and Children’s Services which will provide a well rounded and diverse understanding of the disability work industry.

Topics covered during the course include quality of life issues for disabled persons, skills to empower and enable clients to be part of the community and how to build networks with the disability services sector. As part of the qualiication,
students will undertake practical experience in a residential or community care facility.

Upon completion of this course students are eligible to gain employment as a disability support worker or lifestyle assistant. Graduates can also continue their studies in Disability Work or complete a dual qualification in Child Care, Aged Care or Community Services Management.
