Description

This qualification  reflects  the  role of  individuals who provide supervision  in a wide  range of organisational and industry contexts. They are likely to have existing technical skills in a broad range  of  vocations  or  professions,  but  require  some  training  in  the  basics  of  supervision. Typically they would report to a supervisor or team leader.

 

At  this  level  frontline managers  provide  basic  leadership  and  guidance  to  small  groups  of others and have limited responsibility for the effective functioning and performance of a unit and its work outcomes.

Prerequisites

Distance, Mixed Mode and Online delivery methods will  involve online  training and assessing.


Therefore you will need:

  • a computer with MS Word (97 or later), MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • internet access and an email account
  • Skype is also recommended - www.skype.com/download

 

The  team at Australian Business  Skills will assign  you a Trainer who not only has  the  formal qualifications required, but also many years experience in the industry.

 

The Trainer will contact you initially by telephone to discuss your work history, as well as your expected outcomes from this course to then develop a Training Plan suited to your individual career objectives.

 

You will receive your customised Training Plan by email along with your  login and password details which will enable you to commence your training immediately. It is also recommended that you download Skype to assist you with regular online contact with your Trainer during or after business hours, at minimal/no cost to you.

 

Ongoing Support will be given by phone, emails and skype as well as internal communications through the online training system.

Extra Information

This course is competency based. The course duration depends on the electives chosen, study mode and study time availability.

 

We recommend that you complete at least one unit per week. This would enable you to complete the course  in approximately 3 months. However,  if you are dedicated  to your studies and/or have industry experience, you can fast track your course by completing up to 3 units per week, thus completing the course in approximately 4-6 weeks.

underpinning skills, knowledge and experience required to meet AQTF Standards.
